Privacy Statement

This statement explains what information The Mountain Air collects when you visit the site or write to us, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it and what you can ask us to do with it. We collect as little as we can, and personal data only when you choose to contact us.

Last updated: 7 November 2026.

Who This Statement Covers

This statement applies to themountainair.co.uk (the site). We, us and our mean The Mountain Air; you means anyone who visits the site or contacts us. We handle personal data in line with UK data protection law.

Minors

The site is for adults aged 18+ and is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors. If you believe someone under 18 has sent us personal data, write to us and we will delete it.

What Data We Collect and Why

DataWhen we receive itWhy we use itHow long we keep it
Aggregated analytics (page views, device type, approximate country)When you browse the siteTo see which pages are useful and to find broken onesIn aggregated form only, as long as it stays useful
Technical logs (IP address, browser, time of request)When your browser requests a pageTo keep the site secure and workingFor a short period, after which our hosting provider deletes them
Your email address, name if given, and messageWhen you email usTo reply, check a correction or handle a privacy requestAs long as we need to deal with your message, then deleted

Non-Personal Data

When you browse the site, we use privacy-friendly analytics to understand which pages are read, how visitors move between them and which devices they use. The figures are aggregated: they show trends such as page views, not who you are. We do not use them to build a profile of you, and we do not sell them.

Personal Data You Choose to Send Us

We only collect personal data when you contact us. If you email us, we receive your email address, your name if you include it and whatever you write. We use it to reply and to act on your message. We do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not sell or rent your details to anyone.

What We Do Not Collect

There are no user accounts on the site. We do not take payments and never ask for identity documents, card details or passwords. Gambling transactions happen on casino sites, under those casinos’ own policies, not here.

Cookies

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. On the site they fall into two groups:

TypeWhat it doesCan you turn it off?
Strictly necessaryKeeps pages loading correctly and remembers basic choicesOnly by blocking all cookies, which may affect how pages display
AnalyticsCounts visits and page views in aggregateYes, in your browser settings; the site still works without them

Most browsers let you view, block and delete cookies. Blocking analytics cookies does not stop you reading any page.

Some links on the site take you to casino websites. When you click one, the casino or the affiliate network it uses may record that you arrived from The Mountain Air, usually with a cookie or a reference code in the link, so it can pay us a commission if you open an account. Once you are on a casino’s site, its own privacy and cookie policies apply, not this statement. Read them before you register, especially the sections on identity checks and marketing. Our disclaimer about affiliate links explains how this funds the site.

Sharing Your Data

We share data only with service providers that help us run the site, such as our hosting and email providers, and only as much as they need to do that job. We do not pass your details to casinos or other advertisers. We would disclose information only where the law requires it.

Your Rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:

  1. give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
  2. correct anything that is wrong;
  3. delete it;
  4. stop using it for a particular purpose.

There is no charge. We may ask you to confirm the email address you used, so that we only release data to the right person. If you are unhappy with how we handle your request, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Updates to This Statement

We may update this statement when the site or the services we use change. The date at the top always shows the current version. How you may use the site is covered separately in our terms of use.

Safer Gambling

The site is about gambling, so a reminder: 18+ only. Gambling is entertainment, not a way to make money; set a budget and a time limit before you play.

National Gambling Helpline (GamCare): free and confidential, 24/7, 0808 8020 133
