A fixed jackpot is a prize written into the game’s rules, usually as a multiple of your total stake. It is the same size every time, whoever else is playing, and it scales with your bet. A progressive jackpot, by contrast, climbs with each qualifying bet and falls back to a starting figure once it has been won. The label matters less than the mechanics: a fixed jackpot tells you exactly what you are playing for before you spin, while a progressive adds an uncertain, usually larger top prize that is paid for by a slice of every stake.
Many Pragmatic jackpot slots that mention a jackpot in the paytable use fixed prizes inside a feature. The Jackpot Play editions add a separate jackpot feature to an existing game, so read each title’s information screen to see whether its tiers are fixed or growing. If you specifically want a Pragmatic progressive, that screen is the only reliable place to confirm it.
Fixed Jackpots in a Respin Feature: Wolf Gold
Wolf Gold is the clearest example. Landing enough moon symbols starts a respin round in which the moons stick and carry cash values; some moons carry a named jackpot instead, and filling every position on the reels pays the top fixed jackpot. Every prize in the round is a multiple of your stake, so the jackpot at £0.20 a spin is a tenth of the jackpot at £2, while the chance of starting the round is normally the same at either stake. Wolf Gold is usually described as a medium-volatility game: base-game wins arrive at a steady pace, and the respin round is where the larger prizes sit.
Jackpot Play Explained
Jackpot Play is the label Pragmatic Play puts on editions of existing games that carry an added jackpot feature, and the name appears in the title itself. Crystalroll lists Fire Hot 100 Jackpot Play and Crown of Fire Jackpot Play among its jackpot games, and Spinboss lists Tropical Pop Jackpot Play and gives the format its own Jackpot Play tab inside its jackpot area.
Because the jackpot is an addition to a familiar game, the rules that matter sit in the information screen. Before you play a Jackpot Play edition, check four things there:
- How many jackpot tiers there are and whether each one is fixed or growing.

Bonus Rules That Affect Pragmatic Jackpot Play
Jackpot slots and bonus money rarely mix. Spinboss, Spinfin, X3bet and Casea do not let you play jackpot slots with bonus funds, Flutterhall excludes jackpot slots from bonus play, and Buffalo Spins does not allow bonus wagers on progressive jackpot slots. Mr Baron adds a rule aimed at the studio itself: when a coupon bonus from its promotions page is used, Pragmatic Play games count only 10% of each bet towards wagering. Can You Play Pragmatic Play Jackpot Slots for Free?
Often, yes, in demo mode. Crystalroll’s help centre says slots can be played in demo mode, Spinboss offers a demo version of most slots, and Flutterhall lets you try games through Play for Fun. A demo is a good way to see how a respin feature or a jackpot screen works, but no jackpot or Drops and Wins prize can be won with play money.
What Can You Realistically Win?
Pragmatic’s fixed jackpots are upfront about their size: the paytable shows each prize as a multiple of your stake, so you can work out the top prize before you spin.
